Anyone Interested?

I have attached some pic's of a 3 seater sofa and 2 x single armchairs that I came across in my travels. I can't fit them in the shop at the moment but they are lovely. They are finished in a Sanderson fabric and the arms have rattan. Great condition. I thought they were a really good price at $900 or nearest offer.

My Place AGAIN!

I promised some more pictures of my place. Being the less-than-brilliant photographer that I am, I can't say this photo does the formal living room any justice....however, you get the idea. I rushed this photo this morning and the lighting is terrible! I had to pull the curtains to restrict the sunlight. Behind those curtains is a lovely turquoise wall and plants.

As you can see I love to combine vintage with modern fabrics. We call this our talking room at home....it is where my husband and I have those serious chats!
My favourite furniture piece in this room is my yellow grain / french style marble coffee table. It looks a little smaller in the photo than it is. Trust me its perfect! It was an ebay find...I think I paid about $120 for it! For me it really brings the room together.

Gotta love that lounge...here it is again! You can also see my 1920s display cabinet in the background (another ebay find which I brought up from Melbourne). It has the original beige fabric which I really love and it is full of my treasured tea cups.
Nina Campbell cushions....planning to do something with the spare fabric when I get a bigger house.
My two 1800s wingbacks are upholstererd in a turquoise velvet. I quite liked the subtle chinese influence in these cushions.

Hope you enjoyed spending some time in my place.

My Shop Today

This week at the shop...It is hard not to get attached to pieces...especially this one. The gold framed outdoor stand, complete with heavy glass shelving and wine racks is stunning. You can see it in the background, behind the trestle. Our trestles are still selling like hotcakes and I am always happy to see them go to a loving home!

I met a lovely lady this week who sold me two of her lounge chairs. They were originally purchased from Hong Kong with the fabric imported from Spain. She had treasured these lounges so much she had them shipped here when her husband was transferred back to Australia 8 months ago. They are in immaculate condition - one three seater and one two (and a bit!). I really didn't want them to get dirty in storage so I put the pair straight in the shop today for only $1200.

Lounge Love

Alkemie's latest post "Turning a church into a home" is well worth a look. I don't think I have ever seen a church look bad when refurbished, but this one is gorgeous! These two lounges could come and visit my place anyday! I think they would feel quite at home!
