I have made a start. It isn't a grand start but it is a start none the less. I loved these two vintage florals I picked up at the Woolloongabba Antique Centre last week. I am sure they will look great as a part of a cluster for either my lounge or hallway. I haven't worked out exactly what is going where as yet! I have also purchase a canvas because I can't find artwork I like in the size I need...and I am impatient! So I am going to put pen to paper and design something I think I can live with. Fingers crossed with the results.

Bronnie's Website Live
Just putting in a plug for interior designer Bronnie Masefau whose website has just gone live. This is my favourite photos from her website. I love the painting...looks a little like Liz Trans work. It could be her children's for all I know! Anyway, you can check out lots more great pics

Hunt for Art
This print is by Kim Parker. They are always good value!
I have been hunting for the right piece of artwork today. I had a great time but there was simply too much to choose from! I feel in love with a few pieces but some aren't the right size for my space. Unfortunately I couldn't take photos so you can enjoy them with me! I would have loved to have shared some of them with you. Anyway, I think I have decided on a style - abstract floral which must contain some yellow!

Needing Fabric!
Can anyone help!??
I am looking for vintage fabric - florals, spots, stripes...anything special! Admittedly I am really fussy when it comes to fabric and I always have a image in my head which restricts things. I thought I'd put an SOS out there and ask if anyone has any good contacts or want to sell some of their collection!

French at Heart
There is a lovely shop at the Woolloongabba Antique Centre called "French at Heart". I have never met the owner so if you are out there...hi from Divine Finds! I visit this shop regularly, and although my home is far from french, I do find myself drawn to that style. I love delicate, pretty things, but like most good things they are better in moderation! Here are some pics I took this week. There is a marble topped gold coffee table featured in the last photo. I was definitely tempted to buy it!

Bird Palace
I brought a collection of bird cages this week. This one is staying at my place! I've called it my Bird Palace! I just feel in love with it. I am going to give it a really good clean and convert it into a lantern for my back deck. I can imagine it sitting on one of our trestle tables, alight with candles.

Ready for Sale
We have quite a few day beds in at the moment. This is one of my favourite styles which is currently selling for $660 in the shop. All of our daybeds are fully restored and refreshed in white ready to brighter up any deck. As you can see our front yard is a bit of a construction zone! I'll post a pic soon of a beautiful blue and white fabric we are currently using to upholster a day bed for a private client.

Eating Out
I love eating out. I find myself returning to a restuarant time and time again because of the atmosphere and decore rather than just the food. I'm one of those people who are quite conscious of the environment I am in. I love it when a restuarant makes you feel at home.
My husband and I went to the Sofitel in Brisbane on Friday night. We visit it often. I almost know every waiter by name as I go there for work quite a bit too. I loved these lanterns...
...and they always have a beauitful arrangement of flowers in the foyer.

My Dream Home
My dream home is actually my grandparents place. They live on a large corner block in. It place has gotten really run down since my grandfather passed away. He was a dedicated gardener! None the less it has all the ingredients that I would love to have in a home one day.
A great view overlooking lovely coffee shops...perfect for the weekends.

Scattered Art
There is a cute little shop called 'Scattered Art' at Cooparoo. It is across the road from my Grandmothers house so I get to visit it regularly. They offer art lessons for kids which always catches my eye around school holiday time! My 2 boys are into knitting at the moment. Yes, I know...boys and knitting as a strange combination. However, my mother in law knitted with them as very small children and they love it! Yesterday they were knitting in the back of our very bloky ute on the way home from purchasing new yarn from the shops! Wish I had a photo! Anyways, these tea cosies delighted my children! They are available for between $50 and $80 at 'Scattered Art'. I think the collection looks gorgeous in their window.

Handmade Baby Treasures
Anyone Interested?
I have attached some pic's of a 3 seater sofa and 2 x single armchairs that I came across in my travels. I can't fit them in the shop at the moment but they are lovely. They are finished in a Sanderson fabric and the arms have rattan. Great condition. I thought they were a really good price at $900 or nearest offer.

Christmas in July
My husband's birthday was last week, July 31st. We always have a dinner party for his birthday This time his birthday party got hijacked by Christmas in July. My friend and I have had this Christmas in July idea for a while and have talked about it on and off all month. So when I said, "Let's get together for Doc's birthday" she instantly started soaking dried fruit in brandy. Poor guy. Here are some photos of the pre-guest dining table...I had fun setting it up.
