And now to brag about my humble outoor furniture find - a few peacock chairs. I am going to team these up with Divine Find's trestle tables, benches, some interesting lighting and a collection of french doors and windows.
I simply love Satara's outdoor furniture. Their peacock chairs and day beds are stunning. Here is some inspiration for today...

The Great Outdoors
I am falling in love with interesting outdoor designs at the moment. I was in the middle of decorating my 'back deck' when we started Divine Finds. As a result, nothing very exciting has happened and all my grand plans have amounted to very little. I am however highly tuned to ideas that might oneday make my back deck something special.
I loved this photo from Maison Boheme's blog today. The colour is really inspiring. It would look smashing with the turquoise walls my husband built and painted. Loving bench seats, metal chairs and cane as well...more photos that are inspiring soon.

What's at Divine Finds Today?
We had a bit of an overhaul at Divine Finds today. Our stock has been leaving the shop really quickly (thank you to all our customers who keep coming back for more!), but the down side is that the shop can look a little worse for wear sometimes! Our beautiful seagrass cane lounge, Bentwood rocking chair, trestle table, garden stand, adorable mirror and assorted chairs all left the shop today leaving it looking almost as bare as when we came in. Here are some pictures of what we managed to pull together by closing time.

Brighten my day!
Don't you just love blogging! I'm sitting at my computer (it's pouring rain outside) and POP...here comes the most delightful photo from Belle Masion. The beautiful yellow colours make up for the lack of sunshine outside. Loving the combination of the frilly tablecloth and the metal chairs!!! That tablecloth is something special.

Divine Finds New Stock
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and once again thank you so much for following my blog. I really enjoy hearing from you. I have had a truly inspiring week, with bucket loads of new stock arriving. My mind is as always whirling with ideas!
Out of all of my purchases, there are three very special prints that have captured my heart. They are 1950s floral prints, in original condition, framed beautifully. What more can I say? They are breathtaking! They are even more lovely than the photos show, with some really stunning colour combinations (Please excuse my photography!).

So if anyone is interested you are more than welcome to contact me to purchase privately. I'd be quick for these ones as I don't think they will make it to the shop!

Introducing...Vintage by Lou Lou
Many of you have probably already heard of Vintage by Lou Lou, so this blog may be no new introduction. Lou always have a fabulous range of vintage finds and a really appreciation for the history of a piece - whether big or small. The girl behind the 'brand' is absolutely as lovely as her goods. I met Lou through her ebay store and was fortunate enough to purchase a number of pieces while I was initially setting up my store. I found a kindred spirit. Above are some of the photos off her recent blog featuring the Ipswich markets (a project I know she is passionate about). If you have a spare weekend it would definitely be worth a visit and you will always find Lou there with loads of goodies. Lou is currently working on a range of blue and white cushions and seat pads for my store. I am so looking forward to posting some pics of her handy work. If you haven't checked out her blog it is well worth a look!

Introducing...Ally
If you are fortunate, you can meet the loveliest people in life. This week I am going to blog about three people whose passion for vintage inspires me. They are people who I am currently working with in Divine Finds and I would love you all to meet.
So today I am introducing inspiration number - Ally. Ally is Divine Find's neighbour. She is such a great person to be around and has endless energy for vintage treasures. Ally tells me she goes to about 30 garage sales every Saturday to find her gorgeous stock. I think that is impressive! Every now and then I'll slip over to her shop and buy something special to take home. She is so generous that she will actually offer me some of her stock if she feels it suits my shop's look better!
Here are some pics from her shop which is well worth a visit. The pics don't acutally do it justice.
I also wanted to thank my new blog followers. I'd love to hear from you and if you have any people in your life that inspire your creative side feel free to write me about them.

Ooops....Last minute birthday save
I am sure I am not the only person in the world who has forgotten their sister's birthday (please tell me I am not!). I knew it was coming up some time this week. I just didn't register that it was TODAY! Anyway, just in the nick of time I whipped up a 'last minute' birthday high tea. No flowers. No fancy gifts. Just simple home cooking enjoyed by our mum, my sister's children and mine. Sande from 'A Gift Wrapped Life' would be horrified! At least I can make it up to her next year.

I feel like I have a truckload of chairs to renovate when in fact I only have a dozen. They are piled up on my back veranda which is acting as added motivation to get the job done! I am really looking forward to choosing the fabrics that people will be sitting on for the next few years....quite a privilege really! I'll be out shopping for tables (and a few more chairs!) Monday night so these treasures have friends. Please feel free to send my your ideas...brainstorming with brilliant minds is always fun!

In love with...
Setting up my shop always comes with a few extra benefits...like vintage shopping! There are some beautiful finds in the Woolloongabba Antique Centre and this exquisite piece was my favourite for the day. Are these not the most beautiful colours for a lamp? I totally love it! I can imagine it surrounded by pale blue striped sofas and floral drapes!

My Own Divine Find!
The hunt for Blue and White continues
I am currently working on a new range of blue and white cushions with the wonderfully artistic, "Vintage by Lou Lou". These delightful fabrics will mark the beginning of the creative journey. I am dreaming of a large denim cushion with white pipping teamed up with a smaller floral cushion with ruffles...but who know what ideas Lou has in store. While this process is going on my husband will be painting up some adorable cane. Hopefully when the two meet we have perfection! Stay tuned for the result.

Knives and Forks to die for
Style Court just featured some beautiful photos of Joe Nye's inspiring book FLAIR. The images look spectacular and they are right where my head space is today as I am setting the table for guests. I know these are only photos of knives and forks, but they took my breath away! Does anyone know where I can get them?

You can't beat Blue and White
I am working on a range of blue and white cushions for a client. What better inspiration than the greatest handmade products site ever, Etsy. They have a substantial range of handmade products including oodles of cushions. Here are a few I particularly liked from the shop - Cat Nap Cottage.
More inspiration for setting a table
